How Long Will Window Film Last?
Solucent window film, under the right conditions and depending on the type of window film and installation, can last up to 20 years.
The life span of window film is dependent on:
- The quality of the window film application
- Where the window film is installed i.e. location, internal or external, climate
- The type and brand of window film installed
- Commercial or Residential installation
- The window film manufacturers warranty
How Do I Clean Window Film?
You can clean window film with a soft, lint-free cloth or towel and any normal window cleaning solution. You can also use a squeegee. Stay away from abrasive products that can scratch and damage your window film.
Is Window Film Scratch Proof?
Window films have a scratch resistant coating on the outside surface to protect the window film from normal wear and tear. Good quality window films are scratch resistant but no window film is completely scratch proof.
Will Window Film Effect My Indoor Plants?
Window film can actually help your indoor plants by blocking out solar rays, reflecting heat and reducing the indoor temperature (solar window film).
How Does Window Film Adhere or Stick to the Glass?
Our team of professional window film installers will clean and prep the glass prior to installation, fit and secure the window film to the glass. Window films can be applied with a powerful adhesive on one side that bonds the window film to the glass or there is static cling window film that is used only for internal applications.
Is the Film Applied to the Inside or the Outside of the Window?
In most cases, window film is installed on the inside of the glass. This allows for maximum durability.

Can Window Film Be Applied to Any Surface?
No. Our window film products are designed to adhere to glass surfaces with a smooth finish. It is not recommended for use on any non-smooth surfaces, plastics or plexiglass.
Can Damaged Window Film Be Repaired?
Damaged window film cannot be repaired, but the damaged piece of window film can be removed and new window film installed.
